“I find Silent Hill awesome in all levels technical, but the script and the characters, especially the stereotypical attitude towards motherhood and fatherhood - mothers apparently are the only parents that care for their children, while fathers apparently don’t - terrible and somehow even insulting. Then I read the director and scriptwriter’s reasoning for having a female main character and I was even more insulted by their chauvinist thoughts, so much I am glad they didn’t return for SH 2”
